Real Madrid Superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, has reportedly made a bet with his club team-mates that he will end the league season as La-Liga top goalscorer ahead of Lionel Messi.
The Ballon d’Or holder has endured a difficult start to his 2017/18 La Liga campaign finding the net just once inasmuch as many La Liga games he has played this season.
The Portuguese has won the coveted “Pichichi” title three times in his Madrid career but has found Barcelona’s Lionel Messi (12 goals) and Valencia’s Simone Zaza (9 goals) as early challengers after missing the start of the season through suspension.
However, the 32-year-old is so confident he will rediscover his goalscoring touch by putting money on the line with two of his Madrid team-mates, saying he will finish ahead of Messi come the end of the La Liga season.
“And he has made them a bet in which they have played a lot of money, money that they have said they are going to donate to an NGO.”
