Arsenal have announced a new five-year extension to their shirt deal with Emirates in what is the largest sponsorship contract ever signed by the club.
Chief executive Ivan Gazidis does not refer to a potential transfer kitty boost following the development but has told fans the investment will help the club “continue to compete for trophies”.
“Emirates are again demonstrating their great belief in our approach and ambition and their significantly increased investment will help us continue to compete for trophies and bring more success to the club and our fans around the world,” Gazidis told the club’s official website.
As part of the deal, Arsenal will fly on Emirates planes for pre-season tours, which saw the squad head to Australia and China during July 2017. (Skysports reports).
