#AnambraDebates: Governorship Candidates Fight On Stage

Five candidates for the November 18 governorship election in Anambra presented their plans for the state to the electorates at the governorship debate organised and televised by Channels Television.
The candidates answered questions from why they were in the race took to weighing in on key issues in the state.
Present at the debate include incumbent governor, Willie Obiano of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Mr Oseloka Obaze of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Tony Nwoye of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Osita Chidoka of the United Peoples Party (UPP) and Progressive People’s Alliance (PPA) candidate, Godwin Ezeemo.

The aspirants tackled each other during the debate, while stating the agenda they all have for the state.

Flag-bearer of the PDP, Obaze, accused the incumbent state governor, Willie Obiano, of running a ‘visionless government’. Obiano in turn, took a slight dig at Obaze and other debaters by stating his opponents do not know the size of Anambra economy.

Obiano aimed a direct attack at the flag-bearer of the All Progressive Congress, Tony Nwoye, by stating that Nwoye doesn’t possess any executive capacity and has not worked his entire life.
