American writer shuts down Nigerians who tried to make her dislike a Nigerian movie she watched and totally enjoyed

An American writer, Roxanne Gay, was left in shock yesterday after some Nigerians came on her Twitter handle to rubbish her claim of enjoying a Nigerian movie she recently watched.

Roxane apparently watched Chief Daddy and came on Twitter to express how much she enjoyed the movie.

”Just watched a great Nigerian movie called Chief Daddy. Highly recommend” she wrote

Some Nigerians came under her comments to ask how she could have enjoyed such a movie. Roxanne replied them after seeing their unflattering comments. See their exchange below;

Reacting to the attacks uncomplimentary reactions from Nigerians, Roxane tweeted

And all the condescending Nigerians stepping into my mentions to tell me it’s a bad movie, it’s no more cliched than ANY American rom com or comedy. Honestly. Get off my back. It’s a fun movie.
