6th Annual Conference of ACSPN To Hold In September

The 6th Annual Conference of the Association of Communication Scholars & Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN) will take place from 4^th to 5^th September, at at Park Inn by Radisson Hotel, Kuto, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

This was disclosed in a mail sent to members by General Secretary of the association, Prof Nosa Owens-Ibie.

This year’s conference is on “National Interest, Freedom of Expression and Governance in Africa” while the theme of the Special Panel is: “Media Sustainability and the Consolidation of Democracy”.

According to Prof. Owens-Ibie , “the choice of Abeokuta is symbolic and historical, as 2019 is the 160^th anniversary of the founding in 1859 by Reverend Henry Townsend, of the first newspaper – Iwe Irohin, in what is today Nigeria.”
